The time of return of menstruation is variable from woman to woman, it depends on the duration and mode of breastfeeding.

The return of the menstrual cycle does not contraindicate breastfeeding, even though there may be a momentary reduction in the quantity of milk, which can be resolved by more frequent attachments of the newborn to the breast.
